Hello to all!
I have been offline for a few days now. I have been SO VERY busy in my garden.
The weather has been so VERY beautiful ...I could not stay indoors!!!!
I really lucked out this weekend with a lot of "New additions"
My neighbor completely moved out and said to me.."Dig up what you want"
I got a lot of Umbrella Palms, Canna, a couple of banana trees, a very large rose bush just to name a few. The lady next door saw me and handed me a cutting from her light pink "Angel Trumpet" so I am rooting that right now.
I am very excited about my yard LOL
I am just about to create a Fairy Garden. Where all of the plants are going to be miniature. I am looking for little garden fairies which I think I will find at the dollar stores.
I want to buy them first so I know what scale to use. My husband recently built me a bird house so I think I can talk him in a "Fairy House" LOL
Maybe I might not use those terms to him more like a Miniature people house instead.
At the end of this week.. I am getting a truck load of some nice garden soil. I have been wasting too much money on bags and bags of soil.
I got this idea from watching "Rebecca's Garden" on DIY. It was so very cute. I have watched the segment over and over on my DVR. recorder.
I have always loved minis but never really thought what to do with them. It is going to be a lot of fun.
I will show photos in the garden craft section when it begins looking like a Mini Fairy Garden.
There is more to this card it tells how to make fairy potpourri, a fairy ring wreath. It's hard to see whats in the garden from my picture so here's a list
Fox Glove, lavender, forgetmenots, lambs ear,
larkspur, hollyhocks, buddliea, moonbeam coreopsis, bell flower,
snapdragons, sweet williams, saponavia soapwort, violet, mini rose, catmint.
The next page says A Fairy House

I have been working on my new Fairy Garden or mini land whatever I might call it today. I got so very much to do. It will be a working progress. Yesterday, I got the Light up Solar House at Walmart. It was less then $25. For the paths I broke up some old clay pots and then picked up natural fish tank gravel to fill the area. The mini plants are mostly tiny leafed herbs to fit the scale.
I got to hit the better craft stores to find all the cute miniature things to fill it.
I have only been working on it for 2 days so I will be sharing very new future photos. Having a blast this weekend!!!
